Over the years I have ordered a few times from Rolf Hedges at Liberation Miniatures. While Rolf does not have online capability and does not accept PayPal, I have found that placing an order via email has been effective and relatively safe, using multiple emails to break up my credit card details. Since I am gaming this period in 20mm, Liberation Miniatures is my sole source for 20mm Irish Civil War figures. Yesterday I placed an order with him for the following packs:
ICW1 - Black & Tans/Auxies - two packs (18 figures)
ICW3 - British infantry - one pack (10 figures)
ICW4 - Irish - two packs (22 figures)
ICW5 - Irish (Lewis Gun teams and Bergmann SMG) - one pack (5 figures)
ICW5a - Irish - (Lewis Gun team and Bergmann SMG) - one pack (3 figures)
ICW7 - Black & Tans/Auxies - two packs (18 figures)
ICWCIVCAP - one pack (5 figures)
This mix gives me 35 Irish (five of whom are civilians), 36 Black and Tans/Auxies, and 10 British infantry. Rolf has some figures not yet into production which once they have been released will allow me to transition from the Anglo-Irish War into the Irish Civil War (and back) with relative ease. Those future releases will be mostly Lewis Gun teams for the Black & Tans and British.
Once I receive my Liberation Miniatures order I will post a few pictures of them in the bare metal. I really like the figures Rolf produces. Great animation with some good heft. Weapons are in decent proportion (hard to really properly scale a rifle without the barrel being so thin and susceptible to breakage).
